Tools

SAN DIEGO--Sony Pictures Home Entertainment outlined its forthcoming mobile game slate through Sept. 2010, promising a series of titles based on franchises spanning from feature films to game shows. The marquee titles include updated versions of Sony's popular Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! mobile games, the first new editions of both titles in two years according to SPHE vice president of worldwide entertainment Kara Bilkiss. Bilkiss added that Wheel, due out in February of next year, will herald the publisher's first plunge into microtransactions.

Other titles in SPHE's queue include a Three Stooges game for the iPhone including video clips from vintage shorts, The Karate Kid and Salt, based on the upcoming film starring Angelina Jolie. "I believe there is nothing more powerful than a strong brand that people have responded to," Bilkiss said in an interview with FierceMobileContent. "It's more powerful than original [intellectual property]."
