Apple has introduced the iPhone 7, its first water- and dust-resistant iPhone.
The iPhone 7 represents the "best, most advanced iPhone ever," according to Apple, and some of its features include:
- New Camera Systems – The iPhone 7 offers a 12-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization. Also, the iPhone 7 Plus provides the same camera as the iPhone 7 as well as a 12-megapixel telephoto camera.
- Increased Performance and Battery Life – The iPhone 7 is powered by the Apple A10 Fusion chip, which delivers "more time between charges with the longest battery life ever in an iPhone," Apple noted.
- New AirPods – The iPhone 7 includes AirPods, Apple's new wireless headphones. In fact, the device lacks a headphone jack and comes with a headphone jack connector that enables users to leverage other headphones.
"iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus dramatically improve every aspect of the iPhone experience, reaching a new level of innovation and precision to make this the best iPhone we have ever made," Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing, said in a prepared statement.

Conversely, many had concerns about the iPhone 7's lack of a headphone jack.

iPhone 8: No home button.
iPhone 9: Wireless charging, no charging port.
Soon the iPhone will just disappear.
And even though the iPhone 7 impressed many mobile developers and consumers, some questioned the device's water-resistance capabilities.
if the iPhone 7 doesn’t live up to expected levels of liquid resistance, will the press call it watergate?
