Orange and Sprint sign M2M roaming partnership

Sprint Nextel, the third-largest US operator, inked a roaming agreement with France Telecom's Orange business services division. The deal will enable Sprint to offer its multinational customers global machine-to-machine data services to 180 countries. Sprint said the deal will enable its M2M customers to achieve greater scale, cost control and faster project deployment when extending M2M capabilities globally. Commenting on the partnership, Yijing Brentano, vice president of international wholesale for Sprint, said in a statement that Orange would equip Sprint customers with a strong global M2M capability and help them reduce complexity by working with a single support team.
