Everything Everywhere ramps up MVNO activity with Atmovia deal
Everything Everywhere (EE) will boost its MVNO activity using a new partnership with mobile virtual network aggregator (MVNA) Atmovia.
The UK operator said that Atmovia, a subsidiary of the Viacloud Group, can handle MVNOs with customer bases up to seven million and offers MVNOs the flexibility of being able to launch new tariffs within 10 minutes using a self-serve portal.
The agreement with Atmovia comes after EE signed its first MNVA deal with Transatel last year, which has gone on to recruit 10 MVNOs including China Telecom (Europe), Axis Telecom, Unicom and Priyo.
"This is a very exciting step in the evolution of the MVNA market, and will allow small and large MVNOs alike to establish themselves in the market quickly and efficiently, giving them ultimate control over the service they offer their customers," said Marc Overton EE's vice president of wholesale and M2M.
Commenting on the partnership, Atmovia COO Richard Williams said the company has done more than any other MVNA by investing in the highest-spec, carrier-grade technology from Nokia Siemens Networks for its platform, and taking the time to fully integrate it with EE.
"Our MVNO customers will benefit from this investment directly, as they are able to quickly react to changing market conditions and offer their own customers the flexible and high-quality service they expect, on a network that--like us--is investing great amounts of time and money to provide the best service for its customers," added Williams.
EE currently has direct relations with 13 MVNOs, including Virgin, Telecom Plus, Ikea, Econet and Lycamobile.
