TeliaSonera will be backhauling the 2G and 3G traffic on its Finnish network over an All-IP infrastructure following the signing of a contract with RAD Data Communications. The Israeli vendor is supplying TeliaSonera with its ACE-3220 cellsite gateways which will be used to connect the fibre network to Cisco's7600 EDGE routers. TeliaSonera is one of the first mobile operators to upgrade to All-IP in order to support the growth of traffic driven by HSPA and the move to LTE.
