Position Description

The Regional Solution Architect | Sales Engineer partners with Regional Sales Managers to provide the technical sales component of selling our software solution to drive the sales process to successful conclusion, specifically, but not limited to addressing all customer questions and needs on technology.
CommuniGate Systems is looking to staff all regions within EMEA, with immediate needs in the Eastern and West Southern Europe. This role will primarily be supporting activities in EMEA, but projects can require interaction with the other regional offices like Latin America and the USA. Good self management skills, multi-tasking and team work are essential.

CommuniGate Systems provides Unified Communications software to broadband and wireless network operators. Our solutions provide unique Value Added Services for providers from a trusted and stable company. CommuniGate Systems is in its 17th year of operations, and has been a profitable company for 10 years.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
 Prepare and deliver technical presentations at all levels of “depth” to a range of senior “VP/C” level executives, Product Management, and System Administrators
 Write Statements Of Work for professional services engagements
 Provide technical support in the pre-sales evaluation engagements
 Write responses of product’s technical functionality and feature sets for RFP’s, RFI’s and tenders
 Communicate customer product feedback to internal development, marketing, and professional services organizations
 Provide training, and technical knowledge transfer to key customer accounts and channel partners
 Use experience and judgment to self manage and prioritize customer requests to plan and accomplish goals
 Establish and manage relationships with customers and provide status updates to team members and internal executive staff
 Work as liaison between internal sales and engineering group
 Manage the customer escalation process enabling fast resolution
Requirements
 Minimal 5 years technical sales engineering experience in a software environment
 Strong familiarity with UNIX & Linux, especially at ISP/Carrier sites. Knowledge of internet technologies such as LDAP, SMTP, SIP, XMPP, TCP/IP networking, and client/server concepts. Knowledge of Carrier class Unified Communications technologies such as Voice over IP, video, media delivery and mobile technologies are key. .
 In-depth understanding and experience with enterprise infrastructure applications, including messaging architectures, VoIP, IMAP, POP, and web 2.0 services
 Individual should be comfortable working directly with customers in the sales and account management process, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills as well as a comfort level of video conferencing tools
 Very good interpersonal skills, with a track record of working closely with colleagues in the filed on team projects
 Able to prioritize and properly balance regularly scheduled responsibilities along with urgent, often unscheduled, support requests with a high level of responsiveness
 Able to cooperate, work, and communicate well within a distributed (multi-country) team environment. Use of electronic communications such as IM, phone, email reports and internal presentations is fundamental to keep all members in sync.
 Dedicated commitment to excellent customer service and relations
 Ability to travel across Europe, Middle East, and Africa approximately 40% of the time or more
 Ability to translate principles of technology into product positioning descriptions for marketing and user level consumption
 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field


Reporting and Contracting:
- The Solution Architect | Sales Engineer will report to the MD of the European office
- Provide weekly accurate reports
- Initial phase XXXXXX Euro plus VAT per month
- Expenses for travel will be covered by CommuniGate Systems
