POSITION SUMMARY

Working in a team-based, development environment, the iPhone Application Developer is responsible for the development, maintenance and documentation of cutting-edge, mobile applications for Apple’s iPhone.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop, maintain, and document innovative and exciting applications using the Apple iPhone SDK
• Contribute to departmental coding standards and best practices in the context of this new platform
• Provide technical design, development estimates for new projects
• Provide input on project requirements and User Experience design of new projects
• Communicate project progress and relevant information to relevant parties in order to ensure accurate status assessments of ongoing development
• Assess risks and escalate issues to avoid delays
• Troubleshoot problems

QUALIFICATIONS
• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent
• In-depth development experience using Cocoa / Objective C
• Experience with MacOS X frameworks
• Experience with Java development
• Strong object oriented programming and design skills
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability and desire to learn new skills and take on new tasks
• Familiarity with Linux
• Knowledge of J2ME development a definite asset
