Job Description


Manage a Technical Program within Technical Operations function. 5%
• Drive program decisions and escalations as needed for an assigned project in relation to overall program objectives and goals.
• Drive prioritization discussions as needed to ensure resources are allocated to key initiatives.
• Coordinate project inter-dependencies within a program such as tasks, timelines, resource allocation, risks, and vendor activities.
• Understand current status of projects within designated program.

Manage portfolio of projects specific to the Technical Operations function and designated program(s). 40%
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously for assigned program.
• Plan, document and communicate cross-functional and vendor activities required to execute the project(s).
• Assess, obtain and coordinate technical and vendor resources required to execute the project(s).
• Manage cross-functional and vendor deliverables, risks, milestones, and issues for assigned project(s).
• Lead cross-functional and vendor discussions / negotiations pertaining to assigned project(s).
• Drive decisions and escalations as needed for assigned project(s).
• Drive prioritization discussions as needed to ensure resources are allocated to key initiatives.
• Track and report on project budget specific to Operating and Capital costs.
• Manage capacity plans for Technical Operations.

Serve as focal point person for Technical Operations project inquiries. 20%
• Represent Technical Operations in cross-functional project / program meetings, e.g. CPMO (Customer Program Management Office) and BPMO (Business PMO).
• Serve as primary liaison between all cross-functional teams (IT, Product Development, Customer Care, Field Operations, etc.) concerning project activities.
• Serve as a liaison with external vendors concerning project activities.
• Assist in technical requirements definition and clarification for assigned project(s).

Administer Network Operations project / program management methodologies and best practices. 15%
• Define Network Operations methodologies needed to execute on the organizational Project Realization Process (PRP).
• Create, maintain and apply methodologies and best practices needed to supplement the PRP for Network Operations needs; including the definition of roles and responsibilities required to execute the methodologies and best practices.

Report status for assigned project(s). 10%
• Prepare Executive dashboards to communicate critical project information.
• Provide detail required to assist executives in making key decisions surrounding the business impact of the project(s).
• Communicate project status as needed to Director and other defined stakeholders.

Perform Business and Functional analysis on assigned projects. 10%
• Exhibit general knowledge and understanding of functional processes, call flows, platforms and systems.
• Exhibit deep understanding of the customer experience – voice for the customer
• Author functional requirements when applicable.
• Participate in UAT (user acceptance testing) for projects that impact Net Eng.

Requirements:

2. Industry Experience: 5+ years working in technical environment
