Position Description

Director of Training and Support – National Franchisor of Wireless Products and Small Electronics

Job Responsibilities:

A national mall based retailer of wireless products and services along with small electronics, mp3, cameras, world phones is growing rapidly throughout the country and needs someone to head up the training and support of these franchisees.

This Director position will be responsible for Training & Support for the entire country. He will report to the President and will have Sales Development Trainers located throughout the country and will work collaboratively with divisional leaders and regional managers to identify training and performance improvement needs for franchisees and their employees within the company. Training will focus on ways to teach franchises on how to run their own business, hire staff, increase sales, reduce expenses, and increase profitability for the Franchisee. This position will continually create, develop, evaluate, and improve the strategies and processes by which training is delivered. The Director will coach the franchisees in using the training to grow their business and improve their individual store’s performance.

This position will work closely with the Company executives and Franchisees to strategically develop and deliver training and support for the entire system. This training will focus on driving all required business metrics while developing a continuous learning culture.

Requirements :

Training – Works to manage the creation, implementation, and delivery of training to Franchisees. Conduct training seminars at corporate office, Train the Trainers and Training Certifications. Coordinates training from vendors.

Project Management- Works with Company employees, outside vendors, and team to ensure training materials are compliant and relevant to standards. Actively engages in projects to drive employee satisfaction within the company including events, recognition, and communication.

Career Development – Hires and manages a virtual team of Sales Development Trainers and Support staff to successfully meet training design and delivery needs. Coaches and mentors Franchisees to develop their skills.

Field Support – Build and manage strategic partnerships with Divisional/ Regional Directors, and vendors. Collaborates with these partners to identify and address specific training needs.

Education and experience:

3+ years of sales, training, and management experience
2+ years in an operational or consulting role
2+ years in wireless sales and or training
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required
Strong background with annual budgets, forecasting and other performance metrics
