Position Description

Pixelmetrix is the leading provider of QOS monitoring systems for digital television operators. Our systems are deployed worldwide into six market segments:
• Content Providers (eg. CNN, ESPN),
• Terrestrial operators (ABC, CBS, FOX etc),
• Satellite Broadcasters (Dish, DirecTV),
• Satellite Operators (PanAmSat etc),
• Cable Operators (Comcast, etc), and finally
ISP/Telcos doing IPTV

We are in need of a Support Engineer with a solid knowledge of statellite, terrestrial broadcast and IPTV. This position is responsible for pre- and post-sales support for Pixelmetrix customers within North America region. A unique position for the right individual; flexible hours, self-starter and ‘out of the box’ thinking is a MUST.

Pre-Sales Responsibilities
• Assist sales team to prepare, configure and upgrade demo equipment
• Answer technical questions regarding product features and capabilities
• Conduct technical product demonstrations at customer site from time to time
• Communicate new customer requirements and feedback to R&D team
• Assist set up of demonstration equipment at trade shows
• Assist at tradeshows, customer training events & seminars

Post-Sales Responsibilities
• Detailed problem analysis and resolution of complex technical issues in all product areas
• Communicating directly with customers while investigating or providing problem resolution
• Keeping the customer up to date on the status of reported problems
• Conduct on site commissioning and/or training for customers
• Working closely with R&D team for issue escalation and bug status feedback
• Contributing articles to the technical support knowledge base
• Supporting beta test sites

Skills & Experience
• At least 3 years of intimate experience with Unix and/or Linux, TCP/IP, MPLS, RTP/RTSP, DVB/ATSC and MPEG transmission systems, satellite or cable RF systems
• Technical degree in Hardware or Software design
• Strongly developed analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrated team player with desire and ability to learn complex technical material
• Self motivated
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Spanish or French language ability an asset
• Ability to travel regionally up to 25% & travel to Singapore twice per year
• Based in South Florida (sorry but a relocation package will not be available)
