Our Client is the pioneer in measuring consumer consumption of mobile content and applications, benchmarking the performance of carriers, handset OEMs, platform vendors and media companies. Our clien’s monthly syndicated service empowers senior executives in the mobile content and wireless applications sector to make better business, creative, and production decisions informed by highly granular, verifiable measures of subscriber consumption.
Our Client’s executive team includes experienced domain experts from the media measurement and wireless industry sectors.
Our Client is a private, venture funded corporation headquartered in Seattle, Washington with offices in San Francisco, California and London, UK.
Responsibilities
The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for managing and monitoring the Company’s high-visibility, mission-critical strategic initiatives and projects. Our Client requires a Senior Systems Engineer who can make quick decisions and implement changes to its collection of globally dispersed network and server systems to achieve 99.9% uptime. This position requires someone who can provide design recommendations to improve production uptime and system performance and monitoring across a geographically distributed environment, both for on- and off-line systems. The candidate needs to be able to quickly read and understand high level architecture schematics to offer designs recommendations to ensure internal IT initiatives are deployed efficiently and successfully.
The Senior Systems Engineer will ensure the Company adheres to and complies with strict IT privacy reporting requirements, both in the US and aboard. This person will provide support to all internal clients in a professional and courteous manner with a commitment to continuous Quality/Process Improvement.
This position will oversee the support of the IT infrastructure in all corporate offices as well as production data centers. Additionally, the Senior Systems Engineer will assist in the reporting and documentation of Company’s IT resource utilization and uptime (i.e. voice and data circuits such as T1, DSL, Cable, PRI, etc.) too effectively budget for and plan for scalability.
The Skills Needed
In our vision, the ideal candidate would have the following experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is preferred.
• 4+ years Windows Active Directory management and administration experience within a Windows 2000/2003 environment.
• 3+ years Unix/Linux Experience.
• 3+ years supporting production operations in a 24×7x365 environment.
• 3+ years hardware load balancing experience.
• 3+ years experience with deployment of web updates to IIS web servers.
• 3+ years Microsoft IIS configuration and management experience.
• 3+ years experience with Cisco firewall set-up and administration.
• 2+ years experience working with corporate backup software.
• Must have excellent knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities of network infrastructure technologies including DHCP, DNS and TCP/IP.
• 3+ years experience with Cisco VPN concentrators with excellent troubleshooting abilities for both the client side as well as on the concentrator side.
• 3+ years Microsoft SQL Server experience is highly desirable.
• Initiate routine hardware and software upgrades and patches.
• Experience reviewing daily/monthly server logs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to document process and procedures for internal clients as well as for other IT team members.
• Experience with imaging tools for client and server systems.
• CISSP certification would be a nice to have.
• Experience with network security audits would be nice to have.
• Ability to travel abroad to the United States.
