The ideal candidate should have an in-depth understanding of the wireless and WiMAX industry including some or all of the following:
• WiMAX current industry situation
• Wireless industry (fixed and mobile)
• Market Research and analysis
• Excellent communication skills
• Interest in the telecommunications industry, in particular wireless
• English as mother tongue. French a plus
• Work under minimum supervision and tight deadlines
Responsibilities and duties would include:
1. Update and maintain existing WiMAX Operator profiles in Europe for www.wimaxcounts.com. This will include the following:
a) Conduct Secondary Research:
• Build new WiMAX Operator’s profiles and maintain and update existing ones by conducting Secondary research on a daily basis. This will include analyzing all the online material available: Operator’s websites, annual reports, journals, press releases, publications, etc.
b) Conduct Primary Research:
• Expand our European operator’s list of contacts for Primary research.
• Maintain frequent phone contacts and emails with operators in Europe
• Book and conduct interviews every week, to gather information about Operator’s WiMAX deployments and strategies.
• Establish a good relationship with the Operators.
• Continuously update WiMAXCounts Operator’s profiles with the information gathered from Primary research.
• Write regular interviews with operators
2. Work with Maravedis Primary research team; attend to the weekly meetings, present the progress of the work performed during the week.
3. Respond to customer queries and questions and provide support.
We will consider candidates with 1 year experience in marketing, sales, project management or business development experience with an IT or mobility vendor, or a wireless carrier. Individuals not residing in Europe or with no market research and analysis experience WILL not be considered.
