Our client is a leading global music company that produces, manufactures, distributes and markets recorded music and entertainment in a wide range of physical formats such as CD, DVD, Dual Disc in addition to digital formats that can be delivered over the Internet and wireless networks.

POSITION:
Digital Distribution Technical Operations Support Staff, European Regional Office
(Based in London UK)
Highly technically capable individual, with outstanding attention to detail, to provide technical support in delivering mobile, audio and video content to partners that have focused on the mobile and PC based point of sale markets throughout the European Region. Candidate will be working in the Global Digital Operations Group, playing a critical role in the growth of our client’s digital business.

POSITION TYPE: Temporary Contract/Permanent

SALARY: £25 – 30k Per annum depending on experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Front line technical support on the systems’ setup, ordering, production, and delivery of digital content to partners based in Europe. Execute partner integration processes: review/sanity check format requirements perform test drops to partners, provide front line responses to technical questions posed by the partner and local affiliate office, and capacity plan backfill deliveries based on system and network limitations. Proper execution of tasks will involve tight coordination with the Regional Digital Operations Group and US applications development team.
• Escalation point of contact for both European affiliates and partners on technical issues related to company’s digital asset and mobile production systems and various supporting database systems
• Analyze and apply various business rules to lists of digital product catalogs stored in Oracle db tables for various European affiliates. On an ongoing basis, data analysis would be performed using SQL and minor programming in order to generate orders for new partner backfills, reconciliation of delivery histories, and identification of new-release content that can be delivered to partners.
• Act as the primary technical interface between the company and digital partners to ensure technical issues such as lost content/re-delivery requests, network outages, and connectivity/system/server issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Daily tasks include proactive monitoring and immediate resolution or escalation of trouble tickets created by various users in affiliate offices and digital operations staff.

JOB REQUIREMENT:
• Experience in a technical support role at a help desk or customer support role at a software company.
• 1-2 years of work experience analyzing data in Oracle databases: SQL Plus skills a must.
• 1-2 years of work experience using SQL/PLSQL to generate reports from database systems.
• 1-2 years of work experience writing or parsing XML documents in a programming language, XSLT, DTD, XPath.
• Some exposure to Java programming language preferred.
• Must be extremely knowledgeable of the MS Office product and particularly using Excel and Access to analyze data.
• Familiarity with secure Internet based protocols (i.e., SSH2/SFTP) and basic level of system administrator knowledge for both UNIX and Windows operating systems highly preferred.
• Prior in-depth knowledge of database system that support the label copy, release planning, and physical distribution functions for a major recording company highly preferred.
• Previous experience working for an online music download service in a technical capacity highly preferred.
• Strong writing/communication skills.
• Strong multi-tasking abilities; deadline/results-oriented
• Fluent in English.
