Position Description
High visibility, high impact position for experienced senior level ( Director, VP, CTO) wireless radio access networks systems engineer who has particular expertise in mobile streaming video platforms and applications, as well as employment experience working directly for a Tier 1 executive management consulting firm.
If you have expertise in end-to-end wireless infrastructure systems design PLUS Mobile Content SDPs, J2EE, JBOSS, Ruby on Rails, AJAX, XML, SOAP, and SIP, AND have a combined track record in business negotiating and deadlines skills, systems architecture technical skills, and executive management deal-closing skills, this may be the opportunity for you. In this very visible role, you will be engaging senior technical, operational, and C-level executives within the mobile operators and mobile content vendors. Executive level compensation plan if you are the right candidate.
This position is permanent and requires extensive travel (as in Road Warrior 70%) in North America and Europe. Abba Wireless Executive Search Group has been retained by a well-established executive technical management consulting firm that provides technical, operational, and strategic Subject Matter Expertise to mobile operators worldwide.
The ideal candidate has a demonstrated expertise in end-to-end systems design in radio access networks infrastructure, is considered a Subject Matter Expert in mobile streaming video (platforms, applications, coding, programming), as well as experience for a Tier 1 consulting firm in leading client engagements in Project Management ranging from pure strategy to content-led engineering design/development program management by pulling together and driving cross-functional client teams to deliver new products and programs. In addition, business and negotiating skills a MUST!
Requires a MSEE or MSCS with MBA or PhD-EE with at least 5+ years working for a mobile network systems infrastructure vendor in end-to-end Radio Access Network systems design and at least 2+ years in developing mobile streaming video platforms and applications. Additional experience in Product Management or Systems Software Development with an expertise in all of the following: front-end mobile content and streaming video applications; C. C+, Java (J2EE, JBOSS, Beans), Ruby on Rails, AJAX, Web Logic, XML, SOAP, Perl, VB, IP, SIP, on-deck and off-deck content.
In addition, you MUST have a minimum of 3 years as an employee for a Tier 1 executive management consulting firm (as in AT Kearney, Bearing Point, McKinsey, Cap Gemini, Arthur D Little, Accenture, Deloitte, etc.) concentrating on leading consulting assignments and internal customer teams in the mobile/wireless practice area focusing at least 50% on the North American markets.
SPECIAL NOTE: Must be willing to travel extensively as a Road Warrior 70% across North America servicing mobile operator clients and leading engagements. Must be US Citizen, US permanent resident, or Canadian citizen.
If your consulting experience is managing Professional Services for an infrastructure vendor or software outsourcing/software products vendor, or you are part of a 1-10 person consulting firm, you do NOT qualify.
This position will allow you to live anywhere in North America near a major airport.
