Overview
The Director of Advertising, EMEA is directly responsible for maximizing advertising sales with carrier partners. The DA will report to the SVP of Business Development and Monetization, and is responsible for building and maintaining deep partnerships with our client’s advertising sale reps and agency partners. The position involves up-selling existing advertisers, cross-selling new products, understanding ad metrics and providing daily support to achieve team revenue goals. Frequent partner visits and travel required, as well as travel and presentation to marquis advertisers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Acquire and develop new display and search listing advertisers for deployments.
• Develop, with partners, ongoing improvements to the process of prospecting, qualifying, and closing key accounts.
• Work with Business Development to effectively represent revenue potential to current and prospective customers
• Consistently meet or exceed sales goals, demonstrating focused sales efforts, understanding of products and business model, and an understanding of the mobile advertising environment.
• Have a deep understanding and ability to analyze client ROI / CPA goals and data, media buying cycles, marketing philosophy, target demographics, etc.
•Assist partners’ mobile media buying teams with pre-planning research and related pre-campaign needs. Interpret data and make intelligent recommendations for media buys.
•Take ownership of assigned campaigns, make constructive suggestions to sales reps, and ensure campaign delivery while meeting the performance metrics set by our client and its customers and partners.
•Work closely with BD and partners to communicate performance, and address constantly changing client needs.
•Identify patterns to replicate successful performance to other campaigns.
•Work with tech support team to resolve any campaign set-up or tracking issues.
• Understand how products will assist both sale reps and advertiser in reaching their marketing goals.
• Regular face-to-face customer and partner visits to build and maintain deep-level partnerships.
• Work with the BD team to up-sell client base on new products, including Ad Fed and All Words.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of all internal systems to respond to general and specialized partner requests; including billing inquiries, click activity inquiries, bidding requests, relevancy issues, etc.
• Maintain and update proficiencies in the mobile search marketing space.
• Responsible for special projects as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
• Demonstrated record of success in a goal oriented, highly accountable, sales environment.
• Consultative approach to account management and relationship development.
• Experience managing a large client base
• A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years of sales/search marketing/business development experience
• Passion for marketing and mobile

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Outstanding computer skills including solid knowledge of spreadsheets (MS Excel), word processing (MS Word) and CRM systems
