Position Description
Director of Business Development, Verizon Wireless, DC Area
In immediate need of a Director of Business Development for an international provider of solutions that improve connectivity and productivity and make wireless inside possible.
Responsibilities:
• Identify potential sources of new business opportunities within Verizon Wireless.
• Develop relationships with Verizon Wireless and initiate dialog about business models.
• Formulate the business model and case for in-building solutions creating clearly articulated arguments and financial analysis that supports the business case.
• Translate these business cases into terms and negotiate required agreements.
• Create and drive lead-generation activities to address key vertical markets and support channel partners (VARs, agents, and distributors).
• Provide regular competitive updates to the sales team and channel partners.
Skills:
• 7+ years Sales and Business Development experience.
• Strong relationships within infrastructure purchasing decision makers at Verizon Wireless at the Regional and Corporate Levels.
• Must have wireless network industry experience.
• Experience with in-building solutions preferred.
• Good presentation skills are a must.
• Strong customer and partner relationship background.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree, MBA a plus
Compensation:
• $125K to $150K base, total comp with MBO’s up to $200k, stock options, health benefits, 401(k).
