Position Description
Hardware Engineering Manager, DC Area
In immediate need of a Hardware Engineering Manager for a leading provider of solutions that measure, monitor and optimize cellular networks.
Responsibilities:
• Direct a section of Hardware engineers, Mechanical engineers and technicians that design, develop, implement, troubleshoot and maintain Analog, RF, and Digital designs for new and existing products
• Select, hire, equip and train employees
• Recommend development procedures, methods and policies
• Define engineering requirements; ensure existing and new designs for product functionality, performance and quality;
• Create feature requirements and project planning documentation
• Investigate new methodologies and techniques.
• Perform duties of a Senior Hardware Engineer as needed;
• Direct outside resources during product development and maintenance.
Skills:
• 7+ years wireless networks experience
• 7+ years in a product development environment
• Must have intermediate knowledge of real time signal processing in radio/wireless systems
• Must have extensive experience of Analog, RF, and Digital design, with expertise in either Analog / RF development or Digital development; electrical circuit design
• A background in performing design adaptations and modifications;
• Project management skills
• Experience with introducing/improving processes and documenting them, version control systems, defect tracking systems, resource scheduling systems, requirements documentation systems
• A background that includes leading cross-functional teams to product delivery.
Education:
• BSEE/MSEE
Compensation:
• $120K to $140K base, yearly bonus, stock options, health benefits, 401(k).
