Solutions Manager – IMS

Job Description:

Responsible for the development of the solutions and services selling business within the Multimedia Solutions and Systems Integration areas. Act as solutions sales support to KAM’s in defining solutions for their customers, and all required technical sales support activities.

Define and prioritize solutions within the portfolio that include Ericsson products, 3PP and services Focus primarily in the Convergence area of the following Ericsson product portfolio; IMS, and related Multimedia solutions and services.

Solution Architect background with over 5 years of Data and Telecom technical and business skills in the industry specializing in value added services with a focus on the next generation network area. Broad range of experience from system design and development to high level application creation in areas crossing Wireline, wireless, signaling and transmission.
Ability to perform detailed technical work, including development of high level solution architecture, customer requirements definition sessions and other interactions as part of sales support processes. Some proven experienced in understanding network traffic flows, operations and maintenance is desirable. Can apply competence areas to minimize cost while maximizing customer value.

Competence:

Advanced degree in a technical or business discipline. 5+ years solutions architecture experience within the telecommunication industry with at least half of this time spent in a services related area. Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent experience preferred. Proven experience in convergence solutions, IP networks and / or Multimedia areas required.

Experience should include:
a strong background in Convergence and / or Multimedia solutions creation and delivery. This background coupled with product management, solutions management, and technical sales support is ideal. Must be a passionate and driven team player who enjoys mentoring others to achieve mutual success. Business development and business case creation, Presentation skills, Marketing, Sales inquiry (RFI/RFP) response process, Pricing, Microsoft Office. Works well under tight deadlines, and able to meet or exceed expectations.

Breadth of technical knowledge across a range of disciplines with focus on Convergence and IMS. Extensive and in-depth service layer experience from detailed implementation, network design, customer requirement management through multi-vendor integration expertise. Ability to communicate with the customer and elicit relevant details by asking pertinent questions.

Ability to coalesce interactions with customers into concise requirements and present them back to the customer and internally via precise presentations. Knowledge of Ericsson product strengths and weaknesses and alternatives that may be more appropriate to the customer.
Ability to gain customer confidence through demonstration of knowledge and regard as an expert in the service layer area. Ability to look and think #outside the box# for non-obvious and more applicable solutions. Team player, fostering a team environment that maximizes the result (open to sharing information and helping others grow in their knowledge).
