Position Description
Position Summary:
The Strategic Accounts Manager will be an entrepreneurial, account manager focused on driving rapid revenue growth from sales of the products from our premier strategic accounts. Our ideal candidate is a top performer who has a passion for managing complex, strategic partnerships; brings high levels of accountability; has demonstrated revenue generation responsibility, solid negotiations skills and a deep analytical skill set.
The Strategic Accounts Manager is responsible for cultivating and maintaining executive level relationships with key strategic partners. This individual needs to be a strategic thinker, detail-oriented and able to handle multiple priorities with a significant degree of autonomy. The ability to identify trends, generate insightful reports, manage risk and drive financial results is paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
•Category Ownership: P&L responsibility for their content catalog for the company. Macro and micro level analytics to inform content recruitment efforts and reduce portfolio risk.
•Category Leadership: Ensure company leadership position in content category by predicting market trends, driving internal awareness around category evolution and innovation and building catalog inventory to drive substantial revenue growth.
•Matrix Management: Work as a part of an extended global team in a high-performance culture with clear ownership and accountability for driving results across business units. Work tightly with Strategic Alliance Managers to update and educate on category to enable informed sourcing activities. Collaborate with marketing to ensure category success through correct pricing, placement and promotion of category products.
•Account Management: Provide long term strategic management and growth of Handango’s top content partners with laser focus on activities that generate incremental revenue.
Minimum Job Requirements:
•5 – 7 years experience in business development, account management, and/or sales, preferably in wireless, content, software or other technology industry.
•Successful track record in building strong executive-level relationships, achieving revenue objectives, and managing a portfolio of products.
•Proven ability to work within and across teams, with significant leadership experience
•Exceptional analytic, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
•Able to learn quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic, information intense team environment.
•Strong computer skills
Education/Training:
•Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Job Qualifications:
•Expertise in a wireless content category such as Games, Messaging, News & Media, Entertainment, or Business Utilities.
•Wireless, wireless content or other high tech industry experience.
•Additional language skills
•Ability to travel periodically
