Position Description
Sr. Handset Project/Program Manager, Dallas, TX
A newly created Sr. Handset Project/Program Manager opportunity for a leading creator of feature rich instant wireless voice systems focused on real-time voice communication and enhancement.
Duties:
• Development of handset evolution strategy
• Planning, coordination and direction of handset development programs with R&D team
• Establish and maintain partnerships with key handset vendors
• Meeting wireless operator customer requirements
• Represent handset partnership team
• Create and manage documentation, POR’s, specifications, pricing etc.
• Coordinate and work with distributor partners
Skills:
• MUST have 7+ years of wireless handset, device and OEM alliances
• MUST come from the wireless OS or application side
• MUST have knowledge of handset and device vendors business models, operations and development processes
• MUST have GSM/UMTS handset standards experience
• MUST have experience with successful integration of a solution on a wireless handset or device
• Experience with wireless operator and handset vendor customers
• Management of OEM/ODM handset partner relationships
• Negotiations of NDA’s, Frame Agreements and Vendor Alliance strategies
• 20-25% travel to local (Dallas) and Little Rock (Alltel) with some overnights for handset OEM meetings, etc.
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree
Compensation:
• $130-$140k base, stock options, health benefits, 401(k)
