Position Description
The Part Time/ National Retail Field Representative at AT&T Mobility is responsible for the following:
(Part time schedule will run Thursday – Sunday. Position is paid hourly plus monthly commissions.)
Support of National Retail channel by increasing AT&T’s presence in an assigned National Retail location through coaching, educating and training retail store personnel, as well as assisting in the sales process to include:
Side by Side selling – May act as a company representative at National Retail stores to provide support and engaging in side-by-side selling/shadowing during periods of high traffic (holidays, special events, grand openings, evenings, weekends, etc). Participate in events to build and strengthen the relationship with National Retailer Accounts.
Sales and Services Training – Partners with store management and wireless sales personnel of National Retail to represent our product line and ensure that AT&T gains mind share in assigned retail locations. This includes, but is not limited to: conducting role-plays and mentoring of sales associates on a regular basis to ensure offers and/or promotions initiated by accounts/company are flawlessly executed; customize and deliver training to fit the needs of each retailer; manage the roll-out of National Retail programs, tools and training. Executes and inspects results of existing programs and initiatives. Also, facilitates in-store training program to ensure all store personnel are aware of the AT&T Advantage and how to most effectively position our products and services. Serve as SME on incentives and support retailer in implementation and reinforcement of these promotions.
Customer Service – Serves as a liaison between the retail store and Cingular to identify and resolve issues. Service as a point of escalation for customer issues requiring higher-level attention than National retailers and/or Customer Service can provide. Ensure timely and appropriate resolution of all customer issues.
Self Management – Proactively self-educate on AT&T offerings utilizing tools such as CSP, The Learning Edge, etc. Creates and submits store visit logs to Area Retail Sale Managers on a daily basis. Meets weekly or as needed with Area Retail Sales Manager and/or Retail Account Managers for feedback, scheduled visits and account management activities.
Position Qualifications:
•High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
•A min. of one year or more sales exp. in a retail environment.
•Experience working in the telecommunications industry is desirable.
•Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills and attention to detail; and the ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
•Computer proficiency (MS Office), ability to operate wireless equipment, photocopier and facsimile machine, printer and multi-task in a fast-paced team environment is essential.
•The ability to work up to 30 hours per week, evening, holidays, occasional overtime and to stand for long periods of time, up to eight hours per day; and travel to multiple store locations.
Will be required to pass a background check, drug screen and MVR review.
