About the company:
Our client is a free, impartial online and phone based comparison and switching service which helps consumers compare prices on certain products. Our client’s aim is to help customers take advantage of the best tariffs and services on offer from every supplier.
Our client is not a supplier but acts as an independent aggregator, giving consumers an impartial view of what’s on offer. Unlike traditional brokers, it compares prices from all suppliers, not just those it has a commercial relationship with. The service is based on the most up-to-date information provided by the supplier companies and industry regulators.
About the role:
Our client is looking for a bright, enthusiastic and hard-working personality who can drive the implementation and management of our client’s new content strategy across the service.
This person should be passionate about using content to support the customers on their problem solving journey – this may simply be to speed someone through to a money saving transaction, support their online research or even provoke an action they may not even have thought of.
The successful candidate will make content an integral part of the service our client offers its customers. You will ensure that our client has appropriate content right across its traffic driving channels.
Key duties:
•Construct/implement a roadmap to support our content strategy
•Generate exciting new ideas which support our aim of helping our customers save time and money.
•Use your content expertise to support the teams who directly run our comparison services.
•Review/audit existing content to determine what we should keep, refresh or remove.
•Commission content to support the content strategy.
•Manage a roster of external content suppliers.
•Manage/prioritise content requests from across the business.
•Write and produce content personally or through a direct report.
•Sub edit content personally or through a direct report.
•Report on return on investment (we are looking for short and long terms wins).
•Collect/use data to help you determine which content is working successfully.
•Managing one direct report who will assist you in achieving these objectives.
•Keep up to date with consumer affairs / money matters – be able to speak knowledgeably about these.
•Understand our customers.
•You will be a key member of the management group for the Consumer Proposition and will be expected to contribute to the development of our proposition.
Key Requirements:

Our client operates in a fast moving environment – it needs this person to be very aware of changes in the consumer landscape and needs to be able to pre-empt and react in a timely fashion.

Our client needs to be absolutely spot-on with the information it provides – one of its key values is trust. Their customers MUST trust their content.

Customer satisfaction:
Focussed on the needs of its customers, but will also have to ensure that this can be delivered within the commercial objectives our client has set itself – and this means using content in a very integrated way across our service.

Generates innovative solutions. Takes sensible risks in seeking to achieve goals. Has confidence to implement these innovative solutions. The successful applicant will be able to bring our content strategy alive.

Understands boundaries of responsibilities; has a mature and confident approach to questioning ideas without appearing arrogant/obstructive. Makes decisions which are proved correct.
Leadership:
You will be managing a direct report – we expect that you will develop this person through coaching and leading by example. Our client also looks to you to form part of the management team of the Consumer Proposition team.

Constantly self motivates and self improves. Shows desire to achieve goals for self, team and company. You will need heaps of enthusiasm to bring the site alive and drive content on to the next level.
