Position Description
Position Overview:
Key Account Executives are responsible for acquiring new client accounts contracting for Yankee Group products and services. Territory assignment includes a target list of accounts with expectations of developing strategic selling opportunities amongst senior level executives and decision makers. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment.
Core job functions include:
Proactively engage in developing and qualifying strategic selling opportunities within territory assignment.
Collaboratively establish/define buying objectives and or requirements with senior level prospects.
Develop a consensus buying vision with senior level prospects.
Manage a process that effectively leverages Yankee Group’s proof of capabilities align to the developed buying vision.
Collaborate effectively with other functional groups within Yankee Group as required in the selling process.
Develop proposals and contracts as required within the selling process.
Document all required information in Yankee Group CRM database.
Build, maintain, and forecast a territory pipeline of opportunities in accordance to sales management guidelines.
Produce contracted business that meets or exceeds quarterly/annual quota guidelines.
Meet or exceed all sales activity metrics in accordance to sales management guidelines.
Limited travel, if any, when approved by sales management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or 2 -3 years of outside selling experience
1+ year of B2B outbound sales / telesales / lead generation experience including cold calling, qualifying and follow-up, ideally selling software or services in an inside sales or telesales environment.
Quota carrying experience is a plus.
Strong computer proficiency, especially MS Office.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Understanding and aptitude for the Information Technology & Communications Industry.
Ability to develop and conduct effective client presentations.
