Position Description
Position Overview:
Account Managers are responsible for managing, renewing and growing client account relationships by leveraging the full line of Yankee Group products and services throughout the client account organization. Account Managers should also mentor effective behavior for other team members.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment.
Core job functions include:
Develop, execute and update Account Activity Plans which optimizes client account usage of contracted products/services, identifies and drives enrichment opportunities throughout the client account organization.
Develop and maintain understanding of client account business strategies, organizational structure, products, markets, senior decision makers and their strategy requirements.
Effectively coordinate and collaborate activities with other functional departments within Yankee Group to deliver/exceed contracted value.
Execute quarterly client account reviews with client account liaisons on account activities, usage, updates, client objectives and opportunities.
Proactively engage in developing and qualifying new strategic selling opportunities within client accounts.
Collaboratively establish/define buying objectives and or requirements with senior client account executive(s).
Develop a consensus buying vision with senior level executives.
Manage a process that effectively leverages Yankee Group’s proof of capabilities align to the developed buying vision.
Develop proposals and contracts as required within the selling process.
Document all required information in Yankee Group CRM database.
Build, maintain, and forecast a territory pipeline of opportunities in accordance to sales management guidelines.
Produce contracted business that meets or exceeds quarterly/annual quota guidelines.
Meet or exceed all sales activity metrics in accordance to sales management guidelines.
Travel as required and in accordance with sales management guidelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or 6+ years of selling experience
Strong computer proficiency, especially MS Office
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Demonstrated understanding and aptitude for the Information Technology & Communications Industry
Ability to develop and conduct effective client presentations
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently, as well in a team environment
Excellent inter-personal and inter-departmental skills
High ethical standards
