Enterprise Application Pre-sales Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsibilities will involve consultative, technical discussion with
customers on the capabilities, requirements, configuration and usages of
wireless technology portfolio. As a key applications expert on the Technical
and Sales teams you will be responsible for establishing best practices for
deploying line of business, ISV and custom applications built on top the
wireless platform. Your knowledge of the internals of messaging software
allows you to understand and articulate the complex interactions of the
product to internal technical resources, carrier partner technical and sales
resources, and customers. You will provide advance knowledge and subject
matter expertise on best practices for the design, development, and
deployment of applications on the platform. In this capacity, you will
provide guidance on deployment, disaster recovery, and scalability of
enterprise servers. You will assist in the requirements, data gathering,
scoping, and development of tools to be used by key customers that will
extend the value of their deployments.

Responsibilities will include:
Developing Software Tools and processes to be used internally by the
carrier team as well as externally by customers.
Maintaining a close technical relationship between business unit and the
technical sales, professional services, and product management groups.
Interacting with strategic customers in an advisory capacity on wireless
deployment and architecture, and application development.
Collaborating with other subject matter experts to capture complex
deployment plans and develop a variety of best practices.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
·The role requires equal parts technical aptitude and business acumen with a
consultative approach to find creative solutions to real customer problems
·Candidates must also possess technical leadership capabilities coupled with
project management experience
·2+ years experience Mobile Devices Software Developer with experience on
J2ME and .Net platforms
·5+ years experience with at least one of the following RDMBS’s: Oracle,
DB/2, SQL Server
·5+ years experience in multi-tier application development utilizing one or
both of the .Net framework or J2EE
·5+ years of OOP and OOD experience
·5+ years experience in JSP/Servlets or ASP
·Very strong communication skills (Oral, Verbal and Written)
·Strong organization and time management skills
·Strong customer management skills
·Must be willing to travel 50% of the time
