Position Description
Position Summary:
This individual will be part of the Core Services Team, tasked with implementing a Service Oriented Architecture at Handango. As such, the successful candidate will develop business functionalities on a J2EE platform and define their orchestration on a service bus. This position requires a proven ability to understand and implement business requirements for new systems and enhancements to existing systems in an Agile environment. Additionally, the candidate must exhibit the ability to analyze and debug new and existing software systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement scalable software systems that meet the business requirements within the design set for by the Managing Architect
• Participate in code reviews
• Maintain existing software systems
• Participate in the design and development of new and existing software solutions
Minimum Job Requirements:
• 3+ years work experience with Java and J2EE technologies including stateless EJBs and JMS
• 2+ years work experience developing Web Services in a Java environment
• Demonstrable experience with XML, WSDLs, schemas, XQuery, XPath (nomenclature and usage).
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is required
• Familiarity with n-Tier and Service Oriented Architectures
• Ability to debug and resolve difficult technical problems
• Demonstrable experience with Java Application Servers such as Jboss and Tomcat
• Exposure to AquaLogic Service Bus is highly desirable
• Exposure to Agile methodology is a plus.
