Position Description

As our Optical/IP/Ethernet Field Applications Engineer based in the Eastern US, you will have responsibility for the following:
• Provide pre-sales technical customer application qualification for the Anritsu Sales Team.
• Provide product demonstration for technical and non-technical customer base.
• Post sales technical support and training of Optical/IP/Ethernet conformance and performance test and measurement products.
• Technical product collateral development in terms of application notes, white papers, etc.
• Ability to build credible technical relationships with customer base and Sales Team concurrently.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical area (BSEE) required.
• Documented Optical/IP/Ethernet Test and Measurement Equipment experience – - MANDATORY (i.e. Anritsu, Agilent, JDSU/Acterna, IXIA Optical/IP/Protocol test equipment experience to include Optical BERT’s to 40G, OTN, SONET, Jitter, Protocol test platforms).
• Documented Field Optical/IP/Ethernet test platform experience (i.e NetTest, EXFO, Acterna/JDSU, Sunrise field test and turn-up hand held test equipment) desired.
• Documented technology expertise in R&D, Advanced Technology (Performance and Conformance) and Field Test environments required.
• Extensive documented knowledge of Ethernet, SONET/SDH, and TCP/IP technologies.
• Industry recognized technical credentials.
• Excellent time management skills
• Relevant industry certifications such as CCIE, JNCIE, MCSE desirable
• Strong technical presentation skills with ability to tailor delivery to audience, including C-level executives.
• Ability to travel 50% domestic and 10% International.
• Documented written communication skills to include published application notes and white papers.
