Department Description Ecosystem and Market Development
The Market & Business Development team is responsible for working with developers and technology enabling companies to discover, develop and deliver rich experiences that differentiate Motorola products. This team provides the entire lifecycle of partner relationship management across the full range of Motorola platforms and business units while driving delivery of compelling solutions in key market segments from enterprise to games and entertainment.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations The Senior Manager, Market Development for Games and Entertainment is responsible for the identification, recruitment and management of key solutions, applications, and partners in the Games & Entertainment category as well as responsibility for developing the business opportunities around the MOTODEV ecosystem. This individual will do market analysis of the global segment, identifying the key influencers, recruit ISVs to bring their solutions to Motorola products. Activities would include building a cross-functional plan across product and marketing teams to understand solution requirements, creating market segmentation documentation for the category, developing a recruitment plan, account planning with major ISVs and defining go-to-market efforts.
Responsibilities include:
• Develop and drive multi-faceted global partnerships, spanning content distribution, technology and market collaboration for embedded, pre-load and post-load technologies and solutions.
• Coordination of Motorola resources and the worldwide developer community to provide combined tools and technologies to foster the economy of innovation around Motorola products
• Develop strategic opportunities around innovative software technologies, applications and services from Motorola partners
• Identify, evaluate and form strategic go-to-market relationships between Motorola and industry partners across the globe
• Drive and coordinate cross-functional partnership agenda across all Motorola business units
• Integrated with the MOTOREADY team to formulate and drive licensing agreements between Motorola and best-in-class developers and technology enablers.
• Recruit new developers into the MOTODEV ecosystem
• Evangelize partner solutions both internally and externally from the ecosystem that drive innovation and rich experiences that differentiate Motorola products
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous market development or account management functions focusing on software partners. Background in the games and entertainment segment is optimal. Success in this position will be reliant on the candidate possessing high degree of motivation, pro-activity and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills are necessary as well as a strong business development background. A positive attitude and professionalism is necessary as this highly visible position requires interface with public forums and associates at all levels. Undergraduate degree required; Minimum 3-5 years of related experience
