Position Description

The Customer Solutions Architect (CSA) is a key member of the WW Sales organization and Systems Solution Group (SSG), operating in a matrix reporting structure.


The CSA role is a senior technical role within the organization, providing architecture evaluations, integration & test support, and working closely with SSG colleagues to deploy and implement customer specific standard products (CSSPs) to major Tier 1 and Tier 2 accounts in the PMP, PND, Smartphone, Data Card and portable industrial markets.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Providing technical evaluations and advice on new business feasibility
Working with current and potential customers to understand their needs, mapping Company solutions to customer requirements.
Working with the corporate SSG to develop customer-specific solution specifications.
Providing customer-specific IP design modifications for major Tier 1 and Tier 2 accounts
Providing, presenting and interpreting system level competency, architecting best possible solutions for identified customer needs and requirements.
Providing outstanding pre- and post-sale technical support to the customer base and Sales team, both within their geographic region and globally
Education:

BSc in Electronic Engineering or Equivalent
Required:

strong technical knowledge and experience in digital logic, HDLs (VHDL and Verilog)
knowledge and experience of FPGA/ASIC design flow, and the ability to comprehend customer systems designs
a working knowledge of embedded systems as well as protocols/interfaces such as PCI, USB, SDIO, memory subsystems, etc.
board level and/or system level design experience, especially in design of low power, handheld consumer devices
Superior verbal and written communication and influencing skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work well a dynamic environment and be able to respond positively to change
Flexibility to travel both domestically and globally when required
