POSITION SUMMARY:
The Account Manager for the Secondary Market Equipment Sales is responsible for selling reuse network equipment on the secondary market (i.e. to carriers and value-added resellers (VAR’s)). This position is responsible for expanding sales within the entire nationwide carrier customer base as well as targeting new carriers for penetration. This position also works closely with an assigned base of VAR accounts as well as targeting new VAR’s for penetration. The Account Manager also identifies opportunities to purchase reuse equipment for resale. The Account Manager coordinates the sales and customer relationship process to meet assigned financial objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• The Account Manager must have experience selling to and buying from carriers and OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and have contacts within the end-user customer (i.e. carriers) to buy/sell equipment;
• Proactively locates equipment opportunities to purchase and/or obtain equipment on consignment, and then have end-users customers to sell too;
• Responsible for selling reuse equipment on the secondary market including qualifying leads, identifying decision makers, determining customer needs, identifying features and benefits, overcoming customer objections and closing sales in order to achieve assigned sales goals;
• Assesses customer and key decision-maker’s needs in order to determine the appropriate equipment and services offerings;
• Uses solution selling skills to match customer needs with Andrew After Market Services capabilities;
• Forecasting and planning: provide updated and accurate territory and account planning and forecasting to management;
• Feedback to management: provide customer and market feedback to sales, R&D, production and business development;
• Provides information and reports pipeline and account plan updates to inform management of sales progress and success;
• Demonstrates a broad knowledge of the entire product line; and
• Able to understand and explain technical issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in a technical discipline or equivalent;
• Five (5) years related sales experience in telecommunications or related industry;
• A minimum of two (2) years of successful sales experience in the area of network equipment.
• Must be competent in understanding Andrew’s company policies, company endorsed marketing and selling methods, and Andrew product lines as appropriate.
• Proficient in assessing customer needs relative to network products.
• Able to conduct required territory analysis/planning.
• Must have contacts in the carrier space.
• Able to work independently with little supervision.
• Superior professional presence and business acumen; and
• Well-developed interpersonal skills enabling teamwork and clear communication.

This position entails at least 25% travel.
