Sr. Engineer, ASIC - InterDigital Communications LLC

Position Description

Responsibilities:

* Work in a multi-discipline team in the definition and development of efficient implementations of wireless modem components.
* Perform high level architecture and documentation of wireless modem components.
* Perform synthesis and work with the ASIC architecture team to produce metrics for wireless modem components.
* Work with the FPGA and ASIC teams to integrate wireless modem components into high level netlist.
* Perform synthesis and back annotated netlist verification.
* Perform FPGA place and route.
* Perform modem verification of wireless modem components on both the virtual and physical platforms.

Qualifications:

* BS/MSEE/Computer Science

* Minimum 3 years experience with simulating RTL and gate level netlists, preferably using Modelsim.

* Self starter with the ability to work in a team environment across multiple design centers.
* Experience with verification, including bit accurate, against high level models.

* Knowledge of backend ASIC flow.
* Experience with tool scripting.
* Experience with low power design techniques, preferably for hand held devices.
* Experience with FPGA’s.
* Experience with the use of standard test equipment – i.e. Scopes, Logic Analyzers, etc.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
