Staff Engineer, QA & CM - InterDigital Communications LLC

Position Description

Overview:

Perform Software Development and Configuration Management Project Quality activities in an established, dynamic new Product Development environment resulting in best-of-breed wireless technologies and products for use in cell phones and other devices worldwide.



Responsibilities:



Project activities including, but not limited to, Quality and CM planning, maintaining associated infrastructure, identifying and facilitating related process definition, improvement and roll-out, release and delivery elements.



Responsibilities include:

* Quality and CM planning.
* Maintain (with IT support) associated infrastructure to support quality activities.
* Identify and facilitate improvements in development processes to meet product goals in areas of product definition, product roll-out, and formal/informal release and delivery.
* Lead or support CCB activities as required.

Qualifications:
* BSEE/MSEE/Computer Science

* 6+ years Software (S/W) Quality Engineering, S/W Configuration Management or equivalent.
* Experience in generating and executing program S/W Quality and CM plans.
* ClearCase experience required.
* Familiarity with defect management tools such as ClearQuest.
* Experience with ISO 9001 standard and process improvement methods/models.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
* Knowledge of Configuration Management disciplines / practices.
* Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent.
* Certifications a plus (e.g. ASQ CQE (certified quality engineer), CSQE (certified software quality engineer)).
* Telecommunications experience a plus.
