Position Description

Salary: 45000
Our client is a leading network operator and they are looking for Advertising Manager to plan and deliver best in class advertising campaigns/projects for their consumers and businesses against tightly defined objectives and agreed creative briefs that are capable of integration throughout the communications mix.

Key Responsibilities
• Ensure that nominated projects are delivered on time and to budget.
• To write clear and compelling briefs that inspire creative teams.
• Ensure agreement from segment or broadband teams in relation to the brief, first stage creative and final copy.
• Work alongside the media team in the development of media briefs, strategies and plans to ensure fulfillment of plan is feasible/affordable before media approvals.
• Work with other areas of the business, especially the planning team, retail and online, to ensure integration of all ATL campaigns through the line.
• Ensure all internal stakeholders are fully supportive and informed of all relevant advertising activity.
• Proactively seek fast single minded responses to agency proposals from management.
• Oversee agency delivery of production of creative, to ensure Devise effective means of assessing effectiveness of communication.
• Follow any additional approval procedures, whether internal (e.g. brand id, legal, segment and group related procedures) or external (e.g. BACC, ASA).
• Devise and implement effective means of assessing effectiveness of communication.
• Compile post campaign reviews.
• To work to budget parameters and manage budget accordingly, reporting regularly to Senior Advertising Manager and finance team.
• Ensure that best cost solutions are sought without compromise to brand or creativity.
• Ensure appropriate use of budget, always seeking better more creative ways to use budget to deliver best value for our client.
• Ensure that all purchase orders are raised in timely manner in accordance with their policy and agreed terms.

Qualifications
• High quality graduate. Further professional qualifications desirable.

Previous Experience
• 5 – 7 years in depth B2C focused brand and marketing experience role with at least 3 years in advertising.
• Experience could be from client or agency background, but it is expected that at least 2 years will have been client side.
• Thorough understanding of the production process, including TV production.
• Experience of working in a fast moving organisation.
• Strong project management skills gained in a large organisation.
• Understanding of commercial impact of decisions.
• Experience of managing advertising agencies.
• Demonstrated ability to judge creative against a brief.
• Strong cost management and budget skills.
• Understanding of media planning.
