Position Description
Manager, Next Generation Professional Services is responsible for directing
and controlling delivery of professional implementation services for Tekelecs
new suite of core networking and application products into the North American
customer base. This position will be focused on Tekelecs new suite of products
that are at the core of the network transformation. This position will work
closely with the product design and product management teams to insure the
customer services professional services team is ready to meet the market
rollout demands with skills and necessary procedures.
Key Responsibilities of Position
Staff development and training
Operational delivery of implementation services
Manage resources to ensure networking technical expertise availability
throughout implementation phases of a project
Work with upstream and downstream organizations to facilitate/influence
efficient introduction of new products and services
Partner with product management to define new service offerings as
required to support the introduction of new products
Insure effective tracking and closure of professional services projects to
enable revenue recognition.
Develop and deliver technical presentations to clients as well as internal
Tekelec personnel
Function effectively in multiple project environments
Approximately 20% Travel
Summary of Qualifications:
BS degree or equivalent experiences in management or telecommunication
discipline plus 8 or more years experience within the telecommunications
industry; or Masters degree in engineering (in addition to BS degree in
engineering) plus 6 or more years experience in the telecommunications
industry.
8 or more years of industry experience should include experience in
telecommunication management, and/or professional consultation management of
telecommunication switching equipment, focused on SS7, SMS, SIP, VoIP , TCP/IP
and related technologies
Demonstrated working knowledge of domestic and international network
architectures and network implementations
Project management experience, preferably professionally
certified/affiliated
Senior level oral, written, and electronic media communication
skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver technical presentations to a
public forum.
