About the Role


The Senior Product Manager is responsible for the introduction of new, and expansion of our existing suites of successful direct response premium SMS products, and directing a team of marketing staff in support of that effort. This person will be exposed to a variety of industry-related issues and challenges in this fast moving and expanding market and will lead by example to motivate, inspire and innovate in an intimate, team-oriented, flat, entrepreneurial culture that has a track record of success.


Responsibilities


• Assists the Chief Marketing Officer in implementing and monitoring the marketing plan and budgets for premium SMS direct response products and services.
• Builds product roadmaps, managing the launch of new product lines as well as day-to-day management of existing lines throughout the product life cycle.
• Proactively manages product development, balancing short term revenue opportunities with long term strategic goals.
• Creates, manages and reports key product performance indicators, including revenue and profit margins.
• Works with cross-functional teams, including technical, operations, finance, and distribution to ensure delivery of product management goals.
• Defines and documents product specifications, including business modelling, product development planning and release schedules., operations, finance and marketing teams
• Actively analyzes target market as well as competitor activity in order to creatively address new product opportunities.
• Defines strategic media buying and planning for both on-line and off-line media buys.
• Designs, develops and leverages through others, affiliate marketing and partnership marketing programs.
• Supervises a staff of 3 – 5 locally and possibly others remotely.


Skill and Requirements


• Excellent leadership by example to motivate, inspire and innovate in an intimate team-oriented, flat, entrepreneurial culture that has a track record of success.
• 3+ years direct response experience.
• 3+ years experience managing P/L.
• 5+ years product manager experience with high traffic direct to consumer organization, preferably within the wireless and/or internet space.
• Must have in depth experience of managing full product life-cycle including product design, business case analysis, implementation and management.
• Strong documentation and interpersonal skills, capable of confidently working with cross-functional teams to deliver product management objectives.
• Strong organizational skills, able manage and deliver multiple projects, within a deadline driven environment.
• Solid understanding and interest in wireless technologies (SMS, Wap, etc).
• An entrepreneurial and pragmatic mind-set, capable to respond positively to rapid changes to market conditions.
• Enthusiastic and creative, passionate to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
• BA/MBA with a focus in Marketing, Finance or related field.
