Position Description

Role:

The Licensing Research Analyst will identify the most potentially profitable intellectual properties for mobile game adaptation by monitoring and exploring all forms of entertainment media.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Research upcoming Hollywood film projects, TV shows, books, music and console video games.
• Analyze media ratings, sales charts and box office data.
• Follow trends in technology, toys, and consumer pop culture.
• Track shifts in celebrity popularity.
• Research older, overlooked intellectual properties suitable for revival.
• As necessary, work with independent consumer trend research firms.
• Monitor trend-setting foreign regions such as Europe, South America, Asia and Scandinavia.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related fields. Master’s degree would be a plus.
• 2-3 years of experience in marketing research.
• Previous working experience in handling entertainment related licensing is a plus.
• Encyclopedic knowledge of and insatiable appetite for all forms and genres of popular culture.
• Highly motivated and entrepreneurial.
• Excellent organizational and analysis skills to deliver quality projects under strict deadlines.
• Ability to forecast trends.
