FUEL TV
Sr. Web Producer
FUEL TV is recruiting a Sr. Web Producer to oversee development, strategy and technical operations as well as provide hands-on, day-to-day creative and technical work associated with the fuel.tv web site. This position reports to the Director, New Media and is located in Los Angeles, California.
Responsibilities:
-Project management associated with fuel.tv internet site – including but not limited to main FUEL TV site, myspace.com and partner sites.
-Manage relationships with all technical, content, and development vendors.
-Support ad sales team and development of advertising packages (sponsorship, banner advertising, promotions).
-Work with agency partners, FIM, FDM, and other internal partners (Production and OAP) to ensure daily content updates and maximize traffic to site.
-Develop and manage project budgets to ensure no overages.
-Develop strategies (under supervision of the Director of New Media) to evolve and grow the fuel.tv internet site.
-Provide analysis of web tracking reports and determine plan to optimize future web investments.
-Research industry trends, events and membership programs.
-Maintain strong editorial focus and write and edit content for publishing on the site.
-Hands-on creation of video players, website and microsite design, and animation elements.
-Work with graphic artists for creation of various artwork elements.
-Direct work associated with rollout and operation of fuel.tv internet site. Work with agency partners, developers, content providers, FIM and other internal partners (Production and OAP) to ensure editorial standards, daily content updates and maximize traffic to site.
-Support ad sales team and development of advertising packages (sponsorship, banner advertising and promotions).
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree.
-5 years + experience of website development with proven track record for success.
-Knowledge of the action sports industry, with an understanding of entertainment industry desired.
-Ability to thrive in a start-up environment.
-Must have strong strategic capabilities combined with operational track record.
-In-depth knowledge of the Internet and emerging online trends and technology is required.
-Superior oral and written communication skills are required, including the ability to clearly present show ideas, negotiate and interface effectively with senior executives both internally and externally.
-Superior reasoning and mathematical skills as well as a proven ability to work unsupervised as well as logical decision-making ability.
-Advanced computer skills, including experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Flash, AJAX programming, Ruby on Rails, Javascript, Photoshop, Illustrator, SSH, Unix, PC and Mac OS, CMS systems, PHP and Dreamweaver are required.
-Ability to build and maintain effective internal and agency relationships is essential.
-Ability to multitask and work effectively under daily time constraints in a high-pressure environment is required.
-Excellent organization skills as well as the ability to project manage multiple tasks simultaneously and on deadline.
