Position Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Manager of CPE (Customer Premise Equipment), Wireless is primarily responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining Enterprise Inventory Control systems, policies and procedures in a Center Led environment with specific emphasis on Customer Premise Equipment (CPE). This position will partner with all demand channels to develop, design and implement rigorous processes and activities for the forecasting, planning and analysis of CPE and associated accessories. The Manager is accountable for enhancing our processes and technological capabilities around Business Planning and Reconciliation, Demand Planning, Forecasting, Inventory Management, Retail Replenishment and Assortment Planning on par with other wireless providers. This Manager will be accountable for the execution of the channel level weekly planning and forecasting process that ultimately result in a consensus demand plan. Qualified candidates must also be able to identify non optimal business practices and be able to research, design, present and implement alternative solutions, keep abreast of changes in Enterprise operations and new product offerings, share best practices and understand the impact to the customer value chain. This position involves a high level of interaction with a variety of other departments and business functions.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides guidance to field operations on all Supply Chain Management (SCM) related policies, procedures and processes to ensure optimal inventory levels of customer premise equipment.
2. Establishes and maintains a weekly forecasting process that utilizes both quantitative and qualitative analysis to create forecasts.
3. Ensures products get to the market as quickly as possible.
4. Responsible for minimizing obsolete inventory.
5. Partners with other functional groups to establish the customer assortment of choice.
6. Serves as the Supply Chain Liaison to field, retail and 3PL operations for counting, reporting and movement of CPE.
7. Provides enterprise level reporting of SCM key metrics (CPE focus) and in-depth analysis of data and trends to facilitate decision making.
8. Develops long-range planning and forecast information regarding customer premise equipment and complimenting accessories.
9. Documents Enterprise SCM methods and procedures (CPE focus) and facilitates the sharing of Enterprise best practices among all demand channels.
10. Provides process and functional expertise for CPE business requirement changes in SCM ERP systems or Enterprise Billing Systems.
11. Selects, manages, and develops a high performing team. Prepares development plans for each direct report and approves all leadership development plans. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to Cox Values.
12. Sets and measures department goals and metrics in an effort to develop a process that exceeds customer expectations. Prioritizes resources across various projects to gain optimal impact for our customer, our company, and our employees.
13. Achieves SCM business objectives and performance goals by benchmarking Quality initiatives within and across industry, and developing strategic programs that enhance performance.
14. Delivers excellent internal and external customer satisfaction by demonstrating exemplary leadership with business partners in an effort to identify interdependencies and best practices.
15. Represents SCM on Cross Functional Teams and serves and functional lead.
16. Develops and present status /results to executive level management.
17. Supports internal/external audit efforts related to SCM.
18. Performs other SCM related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. College degree or equivalent experience required. Masters degree a plus.
2. Required 5 to 7 years of previous work experience in Supply Chain or Operations.
3. Required 5 to 7 years of previous management and leadership experience.
4. Required 5 to 7 years of information analysis, insights development and executive reporting experience.
5. Prior Wireless Industry experience highly desirable
6. Prior experience in using a collaborative forecasting tool in supply chain management operations.
7. Advanced experience with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, FrontPage).
8. Strong data analysis experience required.
9. Demonstrated record of influencing and decision making at multiple levels in an organization.
10. Self-starter with ability to manage projects and relationships independently.
11. Excellent writing and oral communication skills, with specific expertise in management reporting and executive writing skills
12. Travel up to 25% expected.
