Position Description
This company is the place to work amongst talented engineers and management developing the next generation device technology. Candidates must be able to come up to speed on new technologies quickly. Good communication skills and the ability to work in small teams are essential. The embedded engineer will be responsible for the design and development of drivers and system-level OS components for adaptations of Windows Embedded (CE, XP) to various platforms.
Required Skills
-Develop applications and mid-level software for new platforms running Windows CE or Window Mobile.
-Participate in customer consulting, system analysis, and system design architecture.
-Make critical technology and design decisions key to project success.
-Work with QA to provide high-quality finished results.
-Lead small project teams.
Required Experience
-C/C++ in Win32 with 3-5 years experience.
-Familiarity with COM, C#, the .NET runtime, and the Compact Framework is a plus.
-Demonstrable expertise in embedded software development on Windows CE is preferred.
-BA/BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
-Ability to work in small team environment.
-Strong desire to work on commercial products.
