Sr. Global Sourcing Analyst - Dielectric Communications

Position Description

This position is responsible for acquiring parts and supplies for new manufacturing operation. Specifically, searching the global market for the best suppliers for various parts, work with suppliers and use their knowledge to better improve the manufacturability of the product, set up a supplier certification/rating system, use Lean tools to get suppliers to develop Just-In-Time (JIT) supply chain, and set up blanket PO’s to facilitate the smooth flow of supplied parts to the production cell at the minimum cost and maximum quality.

Requirements:

Lead development and execution of global commodity strategy
Develop global approved vendor list and ensure global adherence
Negotiate contracts and market share with strategic suppliers
Establish and maintain key supplier performance goals and objectives; communicates periodic results to plan and manages top-level continuous improvement
Ensure successful supplier transition with zero impact to schedule and quality
Maintain continuous in-depth knowledge of market conditions, industry trends and developing technologies

Experience:

BS Degree (or equivalent) with 7 years of related experience
Required skills include the ability to use Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office, and enterprise resource planning system (preferably SAP); ability to apply financial principles, cost analysis skills and contract writing and interpretation; and strong negotiation skills.
Preferred:
5+ years experience in strategic sourcing and purchasing in the wireless communication industry
Strong relationship development abilities and negotiation and contract management experience
Extensive knowledge of supply chain planning, sourcing, inventory management, purchasing, logistics and experience in working with engineering and quality teams to collaborate on supplier development
Strong commodity knowledge, 5 years experience in commodity management, experience project managing transition of suppliers, production and/or processes
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a global cross-functional team
Good analytical skills and ability to work with complex data and information
Ability to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operational systems
CPM and/or APICS certification a plus
5 years in strategic sourcing and purchasing experience in the wireless communications industry preferred
