Overview
We are seeking a Director/VP of Business Development who will be responsible for leading EnStream’s strategic business development activities for our mobile commerce services that are poised for considerable growth.
This position is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities and negotiating partnerships that enhance our mobile payments business.
Primary Responsibilities
• Identify strategic and tactical opportunities that will grow our mobile commerce business in the following areas: over-the-air payment services, Near Field Communication (NFC) services and mobile wallet services
• Research prospective business partners, manage the pipeline and prioritize opportunities
• Develop, analyze and assess the economics of new business opportunities, alliances and products
• Negotiate partnerships/alliances with banks, credit card networks, retailers, mobile operators, mobile device manufacturers, Internet content providers and other organizations to grow EnStream’s mobile commerce business
• Function as the primary relationship executive with all external clients, including our mobile operator partners
• Ensure high-quality service delivery and execution of client solutions
• Interface with the Product Development and Technology Team to coordinate management of new business alliances, evaluate opportunities and prototype new mobile payment applications/services for clients
• Prepare and deliver presentations, deal memos and reports that communicate status of projects to senior management
Requirements
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
• MBA or LLB desirable
• Must have 7-10 years of business development experience. Must recently have served as VP of Business Development or in a similar position for a technology company where candidate closed large deals with financial institutions or mobile operators
• Must have good business and technical understanding of the electronic payments business
• Understanding of smart card and Near Field Communication (NFC) technologies
• Proven experience negotiating term sheets and contracts with precise attention to detail
• Must be able to orchestrate large and complex transactions and interact with all levels within an organization
• Strong analytics – must be able to think through complex deal structures with multiple variables
• Must be able to personally deliver outstanding presentations at key meetings. Must have experience writing Statements of Work, proposals, white papers, PowerPoint presentations and other materials, geared toward the needs of specific opportunities and audiences
• Financial modeling skills using Excel
• Ability to work effectively and independently in a dynamic environment
• Ability to multi-task competing priorities. Must be able to work under time constraints
• Entrepreneurial with a great “can do” attitude
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
