Position Description

Web User Interface Designer

We are looking for a UI designer with strong interests and capabilities in the rapid development of Rich Internet Applications and web based applications. Responsible for building a website from flat-file design comps. HTML, CSS and JavaScript are essential skills as well as the ability to review and edit copy. Expert in HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, and coding tools like Dreamweaver.

The ideal candidate will need to have proficiency in the following areas:

At least 2-3 years experience of extensive cross browser development using HTML, CSS, XHTML, W3C compliant development web standards.
Good Knowledge of development in PHP and SMARTY Templates.
Construction of HTML pages and templates from art files.
HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Understanding JSP/ASP and Flash a plus.
Create and modify graphic elements of web pages.
Work collaboratively with, and provide input to, copywriters, content managers, designers and the technical team.
Edits copy provided by customers for clarity, consistency and readability.
Thoroughly reviews all work in various server environments for quality assurance.
Position requires an individual who is extremely organized with an ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills enabling the individual to communicate and interact effectively with various levels of individuals both internally and externally.
Usability and interaction design.
Designing of the “look and feel” for RIA applications.
Inventing new UI paradigms and user experiences.
Strong knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash.

Colorado residents are preferred, but we are willing to consider off-site positions or relocation options for someone with the right skills and experience.
