Position Description
NAVTEQ is the leading provider of digital map data for Wireless, Internet, Vehicle Navigation, and Business Solutions applications. Cutting edge applications such as these are part of a growing set of applications that enhance consumer’s access to information while they are mobile and accessing location based services (LBS). We have coined the term informed mobility’ to represent this emerging need.
NAVTEQ data is used in virtually all of the leading location based services and navigation systems in both North America and Europe. Our customers rely on NAVTEQ digital map information for use in their applications based on its accuracy, detail and completeness.
We are currently looking for an Account Executive – 11594 (internet/wireless) in the Northwest region of US.
Responsibilities:
• Sales of NAVTEQ products/ services to North America based Internet wireless customers and prospects (ISPs, Wireless Carriers, VARs and/ or LBS Application Developers)
• Management of NAVTEQ LBS Challenge Prospects (small to mid-sized companies)
• Update/ maintain sales records (sf.com) and monthly management reports.
• Account management and conflict resolution with assigned customers.
• Trade show and marketing initiative support.
• Meet designated annual revenue quotas in high growth and fast paced environment.
Requirements:
• Mandatory: Prior experience working with/ selling complex, integrated solutions (preferably geo-spatial content or software based) into major North America wireless carriers, application providers and/ or content VARS. Established contacts and track record of success with same. (Minimum- 5 years experience in this market segment) Prior experience with T-Mobile and Microsoft highly desirable.
• Minimum 10 total years of successful sales and / or sales management experience. (Systems integration, Information Systems, Data and / or Intangibles preferred)
• In-depth understanding of the synergies between 3rd party data solution providers and potential end users/ OEMs
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute realistic sales strategies and business plans to penetrate new accounts
• Demonstrated project management, business analysis and team development skills
• Strong contract negotiation experience and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to travel 40% minimum
• A self starter and “hunter” who will enjoy the challenge of building a territory with world class customers.
• Demonstrated leadership ability in business planning and customer management
• A proven sales professional who is result oriented and quota driven.
• Prior experience with NAVTEQ products and services or geospatial data desirable
