Due to our continued growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested and available Technical Support Analyst for an opportunity located in Ashburn, Virginia.
Position Summary:
The Andrew Customer Technical Support (CTS) Group is a 24 hour, seven day support team that works directly with field technicians, equipment installers, and network operations staff to troubleshoot problems with Andrew equipment. This position works directly with customers via telephone to solve their problems. including wireless operators, vendors and internal technical organizations. Supported products include mobile location systems and wireless base station equipment such as power amplifiers, TMAs and antennas. Andrew Engineers are available if necessary, but ultimately this position is responsible for satisfying the customer’s needs.
Essential Job Functions:
• Answer incoming requests by providing professional technical support and problem resolution for issues received.
• Open, maintain, and close trouble tickets in accordance with standard processes and procedures. Maintain timely, accurate logs of all troubleshooting activity and interactions and conversations related to issue resolution.
• Perform technical and managerial escalations to assure that customer problems are resolved within the necessary timeframe.
• Adhere to all aspects of Customer Support Job Standards and Andrew Corporate Policy and Guidelines.
Education/Training:
Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent technical experience.
Experience:
• Experience in basic RF systems including RF signaling for transmitting and receiving satellite, microwave, or cellular communications required.
• Familiarity with cell site RF electronic equipment including OEM wireless base stations, power amplifiers systems, power supply equipment and antenna systems highly desired.
• Prefer experience in customer support or technical helpdesk. The successful candidate will be service oriented, customer focused with good customer service skills.
• Basic experience with Remedy or similar trouble ticket system a plus.
