Position Description
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Manager, Market Development Group, and as part of our dynamic Marketing and Communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to position EXFO in vertical markets.
As a Market Development Manager (MDM) you will develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of a target market segment, disseminate this information and make recommendations for future orientations to the Product Line Managers (PLMs), sales force and EXFO management. You will develop relationships on multiple levels with key players of the industry and use your talents to turn these new relationships into new partnership opportunities for EXFO.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
-Excellent ability to develop marketing and communication strategies
-Excellent ability to identify new market opportunities
-Knowledge of the telecommunications industry
-Ability to understand and talk about different technologies

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Education:University degree in engineering/telecom, marketing or communications or any other relevant field. An MBA will be considered an asset.
Pertinent experience: 5-7 years’ experience in marketing, sales, and/or communications.
Language requirements: Perfect mastery of English. French or other languages will be an asset.
Other: Ability to travel.
