Our client is a global TV channel and they are looking for Sponsorships Manager to join their Digital team and look after content on 3rd party platforms.
They are looking for a highly motivated self-starter to be responsible for selling content on 3rd party platforms such as social networks, video sites and portals. You would also be responsible for sourcing brand partnerships for the development and funding of new online video content. The role would be focused in the UK, but for key platform partners, would have a global remit, for example, MySpace. This would involve either direct selling in these territories, or more often building alliances with ad sales teams in the territory, especially the US.

Key Accountabilities:
Revenue –
• Building and securing partnership revenues from key clients both directly and via agencies.
• Ensuring that all booked business meets the budgeted yield figure.
• Accurately forecasting and justifying revenue opportunities from advertisers – and subsequently formulating personal targets in conjunction with the Head of Content & Development.
• Regularly updating line management regarding revenue and pipelines.
• Identifying/developing new revenue streams and areas of growth across the portfolio and on new launches.
External –
• Develop strategic advertising and sponsorship relationships, both with the clients directly and via agencies.
• Work closely with 3rd party platforms, where applicable, to co-ordinate sales campaigns
• Ongoing account management of key relationships with advertisers and platforms
• Promote our client content portfolio by way of face to face meetings and group presentations.
General –
• To project manage the deals from initial pitch through to execution, delivery and subsequent reporting to advertiser
• To achieve individual objectives set as a result of appraisals/mid-term reviews.
• To work closely with the digital ad sales team on key pitches and the magazines brand teams for any cross-platform opportunities.
• Act as an ambassador for our client’s digital sales.
• To comply with all relevant safety rules, procedures and guidelines and to be aware of responsibilities under the safety policy.
• To comply with their policies on Diversity and to apply the principles of the policy when carrying out the role.
Admin –
• Establish with the Head of Content & Development and Ad Director the key accounts within allocated business area.
• Maintain up to date records on ATEX Contact Manager/DART Sales Manager on a regular basis.
Skills & Experience required:
• Proven track record of negotiating high value digital sales contracts is essential.
• Proven ability to develop new business opportunities in new markets
• Ability to influence internal and external contacts at a senior level.
• Solid understanding and experience of the digital sponsorship market.
• Ability to project manage sponsorship deals in an effective and organised way.
• A proven high standard of negotiation ability and high level presentation skills.
• Previous experience in advertising in the online space would be preferable
• A strong interest in TV content would be an advantage
