Job Title: Wire Mill Process Engineer

Location: Claremont, NC 28610
Provide technical direction to all phases of the Wire Mill and Tandem Primary Processes in order to improve quality, reduce costs and maximize production. Plan, develop, organize, manage, and coordinate specific project assignments in order to reduce downtime, improve productivity and reduce scrap. Work with other engineers and manufacturing personnel to do root cause analysis and implement solutions.
Requirement:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in copper wire drawing.
• Ability to analyze wire breaks and implement solutions to resolve root cause of failure.
• Adept at communicating common goals, gaining consensus to insure goals are met, and developing metrics to measure success.
• Broad knowledge of the principles and practices of mechanical engineering, with an understanding of electrical and process engineering techniques.
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
