Position Summary:
Manage a team of dedicated electrical engineers focused on signal processing analysis and development supporting the Andrew Geometrix wireless Geolocation systems and other Andrew products. Provide technical oversight, mentorship and both personnel and project management.
Essential Job Functions:
Signal processing algorithm and software design and development.
- Provide technical oversight, mentorship and both personnel and project management.
Education and Experience:
Education/Training:
- MSEE or equivalent required.
- Concentration in signal processing or wireless communications is preferred.
Experience:
• 5+ years team leadership experience, including direct signal processing product design and development .
• Expert level proficiency in MATLAB®
• Expertise of wireless communications systems with focus on the physical layer (GSM, UMTS, WiMax, etc.)
• Direct experience developing algorithms and source code for wireless signal processing.
• Direct experience with wireless location systems (U-TDOA / AOA / etc.)
• Expertise with DSP microprocessors (ADI SHARC, TI, etc.)
• Experience leading development projects.
• Knowledge and experience with patent submission process and procedures
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Some short duration travel may be required.
