Position Description
POSITION SUMMARY
This role will be responsible for account management and business development of North America wireless carrier/aggregator relationships. This position will maintain key account relationships, develop new business opportunities, and achieve annual sales objectives. Primary responsibilities include management of product launches, ability to identify new revenue opportunities, understanding of the competitive landscape, account management savvy, and coordination of marketing activities. This person will be the account expert that will communicate opportunities and needs across Production, Operations, and Marketing teams.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Account Management
•Develop industry-best relationships with carriers to ensure optimal business results
•Monitor sales activity, flag areas for improvement, and identify new revenue opportunities
Analytical skills a must
•Competitively maintain a disproportionate share of deck space to drive revenue
•Pitch new content ideas for carrier approval and for business development feedback
•Thorough understanding of all product and content offerings
•Own all revenue touch points for account-base
Handset coverage, new technology, carrier deck
Product Launch and Technical Support
•Ability to finesse operational leads to best get product to market and hit time commitments
•Work with Operations and Production teams to verify content and see product through the supply chain, from approval to launch
•Serve as conduit for Engineers with regards to technical specs and handset needs
•Manage the production and delivery of the content through carrier aggregators (Motricity, True North, etc) to assure launch
•Use reporting feedback and company synergy events to provide content that optimizes sales
Coordinate Marketing Opportunities
•Present marketing ideas and opportunities between account and Marketing team
•Develop relationships with Carrier Marketing and Marcom entities to be first considered in customer-facing marketing campaigns
•Coordinate marketing discussions for events, PR, and other opportunities
•Work with Marketing Managers to incorporate marketing programs to best drive revenue
Identify, Track, and Communicate Wireless / Content best Practices
•Consistent communication with Business Development team to best serve new technologies and revenue opportunities
•Understanding of the competitive landscape and how we maintain a leadership position given industry, account, and competitor changes
•Communicate content strategies as they develop at direct accounts
Assist in Trade Show Set-up and Execution – meetings, events, entertaining clients, etc.

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED
•The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-4 years of marketing, sales or account management experience at a content developer, publisher or on a data team at a wireless carrier. B.A./B.S.
•1-2 years managerial experience
•Must be able to build highly effective interpersonal business relationships
•Must possess a general understanding of technology and entertainment properties
•The candidate should possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong project management skills, and the ability to work effectively under deadlines
•The candidate must also be a highly motivated self-starter and must demonstrate the initiative and the ability to work as part of a team environment
•Must be resourceful, highly organized and be able to work independently as well as with many different internal groups
•Proficiency with Microsoft – Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
