Position Description

Title: Web Developer III
Duration: 9 months
Location: Orlando
POSITION SUMMARY

The Project/Operations Web Developer plays a critical front end developer role in the WDPRO organization. This position supports the analysis, design, implementation, and testing of project or operations based work. The Web Developer III (Leased Worker) is a seasoned front-end developer with 3-5 years experience. He or she should have expert-level knowledge of HTML, XML, DHTML, CSS and JavaScript. Significant experience with a server-side scripting language such as PHP, JSP or ASP is also required. The Web Developer III is expected to be able to perform semi-autonomously on projects with a clear understanding of the development process and his/her own responsibilities. Critical thinking, troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and pride in work are all skills critical to success in this role.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION

• Expert level knowledge of HTML, XML, DHTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Significant experience with Content Management Systems
• Ability to follow existing programming and style guidelines to maintain consistent website look and feel and consistent quality of code.
• Proven ability to work with all members of a extended and diverse project team
• Experience reviewing and updating requirements and/or functional specifications
• Must be detail-oriented, self-organized and capable of tracking multiple issues simultaneously
• Should have a clear understanding of standard web development process and technical production
• Shows initiative in constantly reassessing business needs and makes suggestions that meet those needs proactively.
• Develops new site functionality or code-base to decrease maintenance time and increase productivity.
• Structured programming experience or coursework a plus



SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED

Required:
• 3-4 years of hands-on web development, including XML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript
• 3 years experience with ASP/JSP/PHP or other server-side scripting language
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Flash and ActionScript a strong plus
• Experience with two and three tier web architecture.
• Strong understanding of browser compatibility issues.
• Strong website development and maintenance skills.
• Ability to perform multiple project lifecycle tasks.
